Eligibility & Progression

First Year 13 year old in-town Referees:

• First year 13 year old referees are eligible to ref in-town 2nd Grade Boys and Girls games.
• After refereeing 5 games, first year referees are also eligible to ref as Assistant Referees (AR) for 5th Grade games, based on mentor recommendations.

All Other Referees – BAYS refs/certified refs 14 years and older:

• Center Referees must be 2 years older than the teams they are covering. For very experienced referees, this rule can be reviewed with appropriate mentor input.
