Slocum Soccer School Summer Camps For Girls

imagesOver twenty years ago, Nancy Slocum started a camp with 100% focus on developing female soccer players.  Slocum Soccer School began as a girls-only camp with a predominantly female coaching staff and remains so to this day.  Early in Nancy’s career she noticed that girls were mostly just an add-on at other soccer camps. She wanted to establish a camp where the sole focus was the development of female soccer players and she has stayed true to that mission all these years! Since those early days, Kate Grant – LSRHS Girls Varsity Soccer Coach, and Caitlin Pickul – Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Holy Cross, have joined forces with Nancy, and together they have established two components to Slocum Soccer School:

SLOCUM DAY CAMP:  August 5–9 (Girls Entering 3rd-9th Grades, Concord Academy-9:00-3:00)

Our goal is to inspire achievement by example and by creating a challenging yet fun learning environment.  By the end of the week, our aim is for participants to not only be a noticeably better soccer player but also to have developed close connections with her coaches and teammates, feel more confident and self-assured, and be even more excited about playing soccer.  A local treasure, it's no wonder many families plan their summer vacations around the one week we hold our day camp.

SLOCUM HIGH SCHOOL PREP:  JUNE 10 to July 31on Mon and Wed Eves (Girls Entering 9th-12th Grades, Concord Academy-5:30-7:30)

High School Prep is a 8-week, 15-session program designed to progressively build fitness and soccer skills in preparation for high school tryouts and seasons. The program features an ACL injury prevention curriculum, specialized goalkeeper instruction and  guest appearances by college soccer coaches.  We also offer optional workshops prior to the sessions (at no additional cost), covering topics such as the college recruiting process, goal setting and mental preparation for competition.
