Five of the ten SYSA Academy Squads that participated in this weekends Memorial Day Tournament at JSSA took home a medal and two of them won their section.
The U12 Girls Gunners took home the top prize in their division with outstanding performances and went undefeated in the tournament winning four out of four games. Defeating LPDA, JSSA, Leominster and TAYSA.
The U12 Girls United took second place in the top division playing some tremendous soccer and defeating Boston Bolts 5-0 along the way.
The U12 Boys United progressed through the top division to the final in emphatic style beating FC Stars of Mass, Nor' Easter and LPDA before losing deep into Extra time in the final to JSSA.
The U12 Gunners pushed for second spot right up to the final game before losing to JSSA.
The registration deadline for U9-U14 players was May 14th.
Registration for U6-U8 players is open until July 1st.
Registrations for u9-U14 received after the deadline will be assessed a non-refundable $25 late fee and players will be placed on a first come first, served space available basis.
The talk with Jamie Rice, the Babson Head Men's Hockey coach, has been rescheduled. Coach Rice will be speaking about his experiences on June 3rd at 6:30 in the LS Auditorium. This is an opportunity to learn coaching tips from one of the best local motivators. Hockey skates are not required.
