CAREER

Kevin grew up in Donegal, Ireland playing soccer and Gaelic football at the secondary school and national school levels. He continued playing soccer for Fanad United in the Ulster Senior League and in the FAI Cup and League Cup competitions until he emigrated to the United States in 1995.

Kevin started coaching in Ireland with Fanad United after injuries ended his playing career prematurely. When Kevin arrived in the US he began coaching the Beverly High School freshmen team, then moved up to the Junior Varsity Team, and Varsity Boys’ Team. Kevin has worked with the Varsity HS team for the past eleven years reaching the Regional Playoffs on several occasions. He also trained Beverly Youth Soccer teams, working with various age groups including taking their U18 boys’ teams to the regional playoffs for two years.

Kevin began coaching for the New England Revolution Academy four years ago, running Summer Academy programs and Spring and Fall Academy sessions with various town associations and premier clubs in the region. He became a full time NE Revolution Academy coach in April of this year. Over the past several years , Kevin has worked with the U15/16 and U17/18 Revolution Youth Development Teams in the US Soccer Development Academy league providing game day management and team analysis. Working for the Revolution Academy has allowed Kevin to observe and participate in many coaching sessions led by the first team and youth development coaches. He has also had the opportunity to attend various coaching symposiums and conventions helping him to broaden his coaching horizons by observing sessions for the top coaches in the region.
